Mother Goose is a parent/caregiver enrichment program, where caregivers bring their child(ren) and learn new songs & rhymes, share a snack, meet with other families & make new friends, learn what else is available in the community and so much more.
The philosophy of Mother Goose classes is to teach songs and rhymes that caregivers can use to entertain, distract, redirect, calm, or bond with their children. Songs and rhymes are learned via rote memory so words to the songs are handed out at the end of the session.
All songs are sung a capella and no instruments or props are used.
This program is FREE and requires in person or by phone registration through either the Hastings Community Centre or Templeton Park Pool. This program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family development and the Hastings Community Centre Association.
