In this interactive, class we will discover music through chanting, singing, vocal and finger plays, movement, and more. In addition to being a great way to bond with your baby, these classes are specifically designed by a Music therapist to nurture the social, emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and musical development of your child.
This summer I will be offering both outdoor, in-person classes and online virtual classes. Due to Novel Coronovirus/COVID-19, participation in outdoor, in-person classes is at your own risk.
In regards to the outdoor, in-person classes, I will do my best to follow steps which will help to reduce chances of Covid-19 transmission, such as, class sizes will be limited to 8 families per class and each family will be encouraged to space themselves 2 metres/6 feet apart from other families. I also ask that if anyone (yourself or anyone in your household) show any symptoms of Covid-19, to please stay at home. If it happens to rain or there is a fair chance of rain, we will have our class on-line that day.
Everyone will need to bring a blanket or towel to sit on, as the grass can sometimes be wet in the morning. There are a couple of options for using instruments during class: 1) I can bring instruments that have been disinfected prior to each class (which I normally do anyways to avoid transmission of regular cold & flu) or 2) you bring your own instruments or things we would use for the virtual classes. Once registered, you will receive an email asking which option you prefer.
Outdoor, in-person classes will be offered on: Thursdays at Hastings Community Centre (outside on the West side of the building, near the water park) starting July 16th – August 20th @ 10:45am – 11:15am, 11:30am – 12noon, 12:45 – 1:15, or 1:30 – 2:00pm and Saturdays starting July 18th – August 22nd from 11:00-11:30am
On-line virtual classes will be offered on: Fridays starting July 17th – August 21st @ 11:30am – 12noon
If there is a high demand for these classes and they fill up, other days/times/locations will be added.
